East African University Rwanda (EAUR) recorded an impressive performance at the 2026 Rwanda Varsity League Finals, winning one gold medal, one silver medal, and one bronze medal during the competition held from 27–28 June 2026 in Huye and Gisagara Districts.
The university’s biggest success came in women’s basketball, where EAUR was crowned the 2026 Rwanda Varsity League Champion after an outstanding campaign marked by teamwork, determination, and consistent performances.
In football, the Kigali Campus team reached the final to secure the silver medal, while the Nyagatare Campus team claimed the bronze medal after defeating PR Gishari in the third-place playoff. Although the Men’s Basketball Team narrowly missed out on a podium finish, the players demonstrated resilience, commitment, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
Overall, EAUR concluded the competition with an impressive medal haul:
