In order to be admitted into bachelor degree and advanced diploma programs at EAUR, the candidate must having completed secondary education and passed the national examination with at least 50% Marks, whereas the candidate for short courses may be admitted on the basis of any score obtained in secondary school national examination.
- A notarized Advanced Level Certificate Education (A2) with a score of 50% and above for bachelor and advanced diploma candidates
- Notarized equivalence for the candidates who have obtained their certificate from foreign countries or in an international program being offered in Rwanda ( ex. Cambridge program)
- A photocopy of National ID card or passport
- Hanging file
- Two colored passport photos
- Payment proof of 5000 Rwfs of application fee
- Registration fees, 45,000 Rwfs

The East African University Kigali Campus is Located at Kisimenti Remera across Amahoro Stadium, towars the left wing side from Hotel Chez Lando, whereas Nyagatare campus is located in Nyagatare city at the main road in the right corner towards Nyagatare Bus park.
